Position Description
This position is designated to support theWorkday planning and implementation team by assisting with operationalresponsibilities, allowing project team members to focus on project-relatedactivities. Please note that this position is tied to the duration of theWorkday Project. Continued employment is contingent upon the ongoing needs ofthe project, which is currently anticipated to conclude on or around June 30,2027.
Reporting to the UniversityRegistrar, the Senior Student Systems Administrator manages Ellucian’s Colleaguestudent information system settings and processes related to registration,grading and advising, which includes creating and maintaining queries andreports to be utilized for self-auditing and some campus partner training. The SeniorStudent Systems Administrator provides data governance oversight to the studentmodule as the Registrar’s proxy. This role additionally supervises the staffand functions of academic course scheduling and records management andreporting.
Operational Execution inRegistration, Grading and Curricular change (50%)
Provides operationalexcellence in carrying out business processing to provide academic advisor roleset up, registration appointment generation,registration monitoring,ad-hocquery development and internal audit reporting,grading,A-133audit support, annual catalog change course set up and production calendarmaintenance and processing. Engages in systems andtools enhancementtesting and implementation.Stays current withtechnology changes and innovations in practice related to these areas andapplies them appropriately to meet university objectives.
Data Governance of Student Module(15%)
Providesstudent (ST) module oversight torights management, and permissions toColleague and mySeattleU(ColleagueSelf-Service) access as the proxy for the University Registrar.Reviewsand approves data sharing and data integrations related to student data.Proposes changes to systems, procedures and policies needed to meetinstitutional needs for accurate and useful student data, and reviewsimplementation of such changes. With the University Registrar, is a member ofthe Data Governance Committee.
Peer Guidance and Support (10%)
Augments each division’s specific onboarding andtraining in support ofadvising, administrativeassistant,and department chair/program coordinator communitytobetter understand and carry outfunctions related to tool and data use forregistration, advisor access and grading functions. Engages as theacademicliaison to theinformationtechnology technical and report teams in collaboratively assessingongoing academic reporting needs and refresh timing for reporting and query usesinvolving student data.
Assistsin monitoring compliance with federal and institutional regulations andpolicies, including FERPA.Serves on various division-level andcampus-wide taskforces or committees.Performs otherduties asassigned.

Compensation at a Glance
Salary Range: $85,000
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that representsits good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at thetime of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will bedetermined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selectedcandidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equityconsiderations, and available market information, and not based on acandidate’s gender or any other protected status.

Thisposition may be eligible for a hybrid schedule after successful completion ofan introductory work period of 3-6 months. This may mean that a hybrid eligiblerole will begin on-campus initially and then will transition to hybrid formatfollowing onboarding and training.
