Amazon’s Payment Products team is seeking a highly motivated, customer-centric UX designer to create compelling user experiences and redefine expectations for modern installment-based payment solutions. You’ll be part of a global team dedicated to solving complex problems for both Amazon customers and sellers.
You are a designer with extensive experience working on real products that people use every day. You have experience in designing for customer-facing environments. You are an organized self-starter that can deal with ambiguity and are always on the lookout for ways to improve the customer experience. You are an excellent collaborator and have no problem presenting—and defending—your ideas to other designers, product managers, and company leaders. You understand the value of user testing and prototyping, and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. Above all you are passionate about solving real problems for real people through research, design, and iteration.
You will work with other members of the design and product teams to create experiences that are engaging, useful, and solution oriented. You are comfortable working with geographically dispersed teams and influencing a global roadmap. You are interested in how different countries prefer to handle payments and can create design solutions suited to diverse markets based on customer research. You will use market analysis, customer feedback, data analytics, and usability findings to tailor your designs to the customer in order to best solve their problems. You will be responsible for developing your ideas from concept to completion, presenting them to stakeholders for approval, and working directly with developers to bring them to life.

- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design
- Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps
- Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
