The Technical Architect collaborates closely with stakeholders, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to ensure that technical solutions align with business requirements, best practices, and industry standards.

More specifically, as a Technical Architect you will be responsible for:

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the organization's business goals, technology landscape, and architectural vision.
  • C ollaborate with stakeholders to define and document technical requirements, constraints, and objectives.
  • E ngage with agile teams, and design/document scalable, reliable, and secure technical architectures that support business needs, balance operational concerns and align with industry best practices.
  • P rovide technical guidance and collaborate with development teams throughout the software development lifecycle, including architectural design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • D ocument technical architectures in alignment with industry standards and norms.
  • C onduct architectural reviews and assessments of existing systems and propose recommendations for improvements, enhancements, and optimizations.
  • C ollaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure that technical solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
  • I dentify and mitigate technical risks and challenges associated with solution implementation and propose alternative approaches when necessary.
  • S tay up to date with emerging technologies, trends, and industry standards, and evaluate their potential application to the organization's technical landscape.
  • D efine, document and enforce architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, maintainability, and reusability of technical assets.
  • P rovide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • C ollaborate with infrastructure teams to design and optimize system and network architectures, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • C ollaborate with security teams to ensure that technical architectures comply with relevant security policies, standards, and regulations.
  • E valuate and recommend third-party software and tools that align with business and technical requirements and oversee their integration into existing systems.
  • P repare and deliver presentations, reports, and documentation to communicate technical architectures, strategies, and recommendations to stakeholders and executive management.

Technical Architect Benefits and Compensation:

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ proven experience as a technical architect or in a similar role, with a successful track record of designing and implementing complex technical architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, architectural patterns, and best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in relevant areas, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
