We Are Hiring

  • Department: Nuclear Medicine
  • Schedule: Full-Time; Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM; Occasional on-call coverage.
  • Facility: Ascension Saint Agnes
  • Location: Baltimore, MD
  • Salary: $40.49 - $56.43 per hour

What You Will Do

Perform therapeutic and diagnostic procedure providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation.

  • Maintain and operate cameras that detect and map radioactive drugs in a patient's body to create diagnostic images.
  • Position patient and select anatomic and technical factor accurately. Order, prepare, administer, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Ensure equipment is properly functioning.
  • Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
  • Lock/tag out equipment if appropriate.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department.

What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

One or more of the following:

  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry ofRadiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. GeneralRadiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensureissued by Maryland Board of Physicians required.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
