Job Summary: We're seeking a skilled Application Packager to create, customize, and deploy software packages across our hospital system. You'll ensure seamless application delivery for clinicians and staff, maintaining high standards for security and compliance, including HIPAA. This role is critical in supporting efficient healthcare operations through expert application management.

Rate: $40-50 /h
Duration: 6 Months
Key Responsibilities:
- Package Applications: Design, develop, and maintain silent installation packages for diverse applications using tools like SCCM/MECM and Microsoft Intune. This includes application discovery, capture, and repackaging, plus customizing vendor MSIs with Transforms (.MST).
- Automate & Script: Develop and modify PowerShell and VBScript for installations, customizations, and troubleshooting.
- Deploy & Manage: Utilize SCCM/MECM and Intune for deployment, patching, and lifecycle management of applications and Windows updates. Assist with automated deployments and OS upgrades.
- Test & Troubleshoot: Conduct thorough testing to ensure compatibility and functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve application and package installation issues, providing third-level support.
- Document & Collaborate: Create comprehensive technical documentation. Work closely with application owners and IT teams to gather requirements and ensure successful integration.
- Ensure Compliance: Implement packages and deployments that strictly adhere to security and HIPAA compliance standards.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems.
- Proficiency with application packaging tools such as SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, MSIX, App-V, or AdminStudio.
- Expertise in PowerShell and VBScript.
- In-depth understanding of MSI technology, including creating MSTs.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex application issues.
- Familiarity with healthcare IT environments and HIPAA regulations is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
