We’re looking for an experienced Security Engineer based in or near Manchester, with a passion for Azure security and cloud infrastructure. You’ll work directly with the Cloud & Infrastructure Lead and be a key player in security operations across hybrid systems and cloud services. Key Responsibilities: Implement security patching, hardening, and monitoring across cloud and on-prem infrastructure. Manage Azure-based security tools like Defender for Cloud, Security Center, and Key Vault. Respond to threats, conduct security assessments, and enhance IAM and network security automation. Collaborate with teams to integrate security best practices into solution development. Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, and GDPR requirements. Oversee third-party security service providers and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats. Ideal Candidate Profile: Proven expertise in Azure security and hybrid environments. AZ-500 certification highly desirable . Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting, Azure Policy, and infrastructure-as-code . Experience with tools such as VMware, Commvault, SolarWinds, WAFs , and Microsoft 365 stack. Track record of security automation, threat detection, and forensic analysis.
