Job Description The Research Java Software Engineer will support the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Qualifications Responsibilities: The candidate will:
Work closely with research staff to develop the next generation of literature search systems.
Implement content generation and delivery components for biomedical researchers, clinicians, and the general public.
Design and develop a new architecture based on RESTful services.
Utilize skills such as Java development, Scala, REST services, and XML.
Qualifications: The candidate should have a background, experience, and skill set focused on backend systems architecture and building distributed systems.
Must Have:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with relevant experience in designing and developing modern, object-oriented, large-scale systems.
Professional experience with Java technologies.
Experience with RESTful APIs.
Experience in multi-threaded server-side development.
Experience with Java Spring Framework.
Experience with XML/XSLT.
Experience with MongoDB, Solr, or Cassandra.
