Linux DevOps Engineer | Up to £75k On-Call | Primarily Remote (UK-Based) This is a business at the start of an exciting new chapter. Recently acquired by one of Europe’s largest commercial audio groups, they’re scaling their platform and prepping for a wave of growth, to support the Head of Infrastructure across their 24/7 environment. You’ll be the go-to for all things DevOps and Linux systems – automating infrastructure with Ansible, supporting live and on-demand audio services, and playing a key part in their journey to containerisation and hybrid cloud. Most workloads are on-prem (think Proxmox and VMware), with some use of AWS and GCP. Tech you’ll need to know Strong Linux sysadmin experience - preferably Debian Ansible (non-negotiable) Comfortable across IAC, networking, and general troubleshooting in a 24/7 production environment. Proficiency in TCP/IP, DNS management, and troubleshooting network issues. Experience with BGP/OSPF and Juniper technologies is highly desirable. Web tech (Nginx/Apache), containerisation (Docker), cloud (AWS a bonus), and basic DB admin - MySQL or Galera is ideal Bonus: any experience in audio streaming or media platforms Set-up & culture Team of 10: mix of infra, dev, and customer support Fully remote, but some occasional travel to data centres (UK & Europe) Choice of Mac or Windows laptop Salary up to £75k £40/day on-call (£100 bank hols) 25 days leave TOIL policy Who this suits Someone hands-on, Linux-focused, who enjoys autonomy, variety, and isn’t afraid of legacy or migration challenges.
