The IT Operations Team is responsible for ensuring that our IT infrastructure and business services are secure, fit-for-purpose, operational, reliable, resilient, and cost effective. The IT Systems Administrator will be part of that team providing high level technical support across multiple systems and applications as well as supporting projects to improve IT services. The role This is a great opportunity for a seasoned Systems Administrator to join our IT Operations Team. Reporting to the IT Operations Manager you will be an escalation point for complex technical incidents from the 1 st and 2 nd line support teams. You will be expected to take ownership and ensure incidents are resolved in a timely manner, providing feedback to further develop IT colleagues as required. You will act as a main point of contact when dealing with third-party suppliers and will be expected to log tickets and follow up through to resolution in a timely manner. Youll identify root causes of issues and implement resolutions, as well as highlighting and reporting any possible security, performance or cost reducing actions Youll be a key player in proactively ensuring our infrastructure is operational and supports our business needs, as well as monitoring the health and performance of our systems, tracking software versions and implementing patches or upgrades, and running data backups as needed. Youll need to approach things with a security first mindset, and follow best practices to maintain integrity of our IT infrastructure, protecting the systems from any internal or external malicious activity FCA certification regime & conduct rules L&C is authorised and regulated by the FCA and is classified as an Enhanced Firm under the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR). This role is subject to the 6 FCA Conduct rules and you will be expected to adhere to them at all times. (See below). Any confirmed breaches of the Conduct Rules will be reported to the FCA annually. You must act to deliver good outcomes for retail customers About you Youll have proven experience as a System Administrator, Infrastructure Engineer or equivalent minimum 2 nd line level experience in a different role. Your technical skills and analytical ability allow you to provide high level support across multiple systems and ensure these systems are fit for purpose and operational. Ideally youll have knowledge and experience with the following: 1. MS Azure knowledge, with experience of the following; Entra ID Management Azure storage accounts Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) Azure Virtual machine management 2. MS 365 administration of; Teams Sharepoint Intune 3. On prem infrastructure experience i ncluding; Building and configuration of MS Windows Servers Network device and/or firewall configuration and support Youll need to have excellent written and verbal communication skill combined with strong interpersonal skills, allowing you to interact effectively with colleagues across all levels of the business, and external third parties. Youll also have a keen eye for detail and resolve problems efficiently with a proactive and resourceful approach. Youll be enthusiastic and eager to learn and improve upon your existing skills, as may be required when business needs change. Furthermore, whilst not essential, in addition to the Essential skills it would be desirable to have knowledge and experience of the following technologies; SSL certificate management Vulnerability management SIEM experience (Ideally MS Sentinel) Infrastructure As Code (Ideally Terraform and Ansible) Powershell SQL Cisco Umbrella Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure support Netapp Support Knowledge of and/or certification in ITIL 4 Why join L&C?
