My client seeks an experienced quantitative Java developer to join a friendly team of experienced quants and algorithmic developers based in their London offices. What is the job? The Successful applicant will be involved in various tasks ranging from analysing market microstructure and its effects on algorithmic trading to overseeing the change and roll-out of those Making business-focused strategy logic changes in Java code and working with other developers, testing and support teams to roll these changes out to clients Design models to more effectively use trading tactics to achieve strategic performance, and work closely with the engineering teams to implement the models. Understand and evaluate the contribution of various trading tactics to strategic performance What skills and experience do you need? Deep intellectual curiosity and passion for software and data and front office technolodgy Ability to work globally with the wider team of quants; Three years plus experience with the Java programming language and ecosystem, including; concurrency, Java 17, dependency injection, and testing best practices; Experience in implementing electronic trading Exposure to distributed systems and message-oriented Do you have? Knowledge of the European equities market microstructure and strategies; Strong coding skills in Java, and ideally Python High-frequency trading experience preferred, g. in market making, proprietary, or possibly agency space; Excellent Masters degree or PhD in statistical or related discipline or computing g. statistics, stochastic modelling, machine learning or computer science.
