Lead Product Owner (Data) - £100,000 Central London (three days on site) The Highlights! We're thrilled to be working with this impressive fintech business, currently experiencing a period of sustained growth. They are expanding their product function as they look to realise their ambition to become the leader in their space. They are currently recruiting for a Lead Product Owner to manage a team of Product Owners, and act as a senior individual contributor, on the development of data tools. As a Lead Product Owner you will manage both product initiatives and people so these opportunities would suit those established as either a Senior Product Owner or Lead Product Owners with line management experience. Our client's working arrangements require three days per week in the office, to a pattern that suits you. About the Opportunity Working collaboratively across product engineering, data and sales teams you'll take ownership of multiple workstreams within the product data roadmap, ensuring that the outcomes delivered support the overarching product vision. A leadership position, you will manage less experienced members of the product team, creating a team environment that supports individuals as they strive to deliver to the best of their ability. Balancing leadership with hands-on product owner responsibilities, you'll lead on the creation and refinement of requirements to ensure that the outputs are delivering value both to the business and its clients. You'll work closely with Business Analysts, creating a joined up approach that connects both product and business requirements. You'll also partner closely with the various data teams in the business to ensure that robust data tools and solutions are used to help us understand how successful their products are. Your team will be responsible for overseeing scrum ceremonies and support the technical team in removing blockers, supporting efficient delivery. You'll support them in planning the delivery of their initiatives, identifying epics from product requirement documents and creating the release cycles. In addition to becoming the subject matter expert of the product vision, providing updates and comms internally to key stakeholders, you'll also communicate externally and be the voice of the team at appropriate industry events. About You A senior figure within product ownership, you will have experience as a line manager of Product Owners, either in your position as a Senior Product Owner or Lead Product Owner. With a background in either data analysis, data science, data engineering or data management, you understand how to shape and craft data products and tooling that add value to the business. You'll have experience of creating product strategies and roadmaps that deliver to business requirements, where the outcome is either delivering internal technology/tooling changes or taking a product to market. Exceptional stakeholder management and engagement skills are essential for this position, as you'll demonstrate evidence of building positive working relationships and communicate complex subject matter with clarity and accuracy. And, in addition, you'll demonstrate the following: experience working as a Senior Product Owner or Lead Product Owner, in the financial services sector (either inhouse, through a consulting or product business), where you have developed an understanding of complex use cases. experience of working with, or creating, data products is essential. the ability to translate technical engineering terms into language that non technical stakeholders understand. an understanding of, and experience with, various agile processes. demonstrates strong project management techniques. empathetic, supportive and encouraging leader of people experience of working within a high growth environment, demonstrating the ability to adapt and change. technical awareness and understanding of data analysis, evidenced by your ability to comfortably handle data and use it to inform decision making.
