QA Automation Engineer

A client is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer who will prepare test scenarios and execute automated test suites for an Equity trading platform, including trading algorithms, quantitative analytics, and electronic trading services. The position also includes cross-training team members and supporting the development of cutting-edge quantitative trading platforms that provide superior order execution and risk management for both internal and buy-side clients. *Client Details* The client is a global leader in market infrastructure and data solutions, focusing on financial services and offering advanced technology to help clients navigate complex markets. As they expand their AI capabilities, they are building a dedicated AI function to develop transformative solutions that will shape the future of finance. *Description* * *Design, develop, and maintain automated test cases* for an algorithmic trading platform and other trading-related applications. * Collaborate closely with the *QA Tech Lead* to improve the automation testing framework and provide insights on tools and strategies. * Ensure comprehensive test coverage based on specifications from *Quants* and *Product teams*, covering trading algorithms, models, and platform features. * *Analyze system logs and platform data* for test confirmation, defect analysis, and troubleshooting. * Manage *bug tracking and advocacy*, and collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business requirements, while providing *Level 2 support* for production issues. *Profile* * *BS/BA degree* in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent, with 5 years of experience in software quality assurance for *sell-side Equity electronic trading*. * Over *3 years of programming experience* in automated test scripts using Python, Java, or similar languages, with a focus on *Equity trading*. * Familiarity with *OMS/EMS platforms* like InfoReach, Fidessa, FlexTrade, and a strong understanding of *order management and routing*. * Expertise in *FIX protocol*, *Linux/Bash scripting*, *SQL*, and a deep knowledge of *US, EMEA, and APAC Equity market structures* and *market data* (Level 1, Level 2). * Experience with *source control systems* (Git, SVN, Perforce), *CI/CD tools* (Jira, Jenkins, GitLab), and a solid understanding of *testing methodologies* and the *software development lifecycle*. *Job Offer* A permanent opportunity with room for growth.
