Position Summary:
Title: Developer Standard III - .Net Developer
Duration: 12 Months - Long Term
Location: Washington, DC 20433
5 days onsite per week from Day 1
Background:
CIT department has initiated a new project (Integration Hub) to implement a system that will help streamline integrations among client’s systems and decouple the systems that depend on other systems’ data.
This will help the department in implementing multiple strategic programs in a way where the implementation can be completely decoupled and avoid rework caused by system replacements. This will be achieved through a middle integration layer, the 'Integration Hub', which will serve as an 'Integrator' and eliminate direct coupling between systems.
The proposed system will enable systems to publish and consume APIs and messages, supporting event-driven architecture with near real-time notifications and data consumption via API calls.
Scope Of Work:
Design and develop RESTful API services and pub/sub message interfaces aligned with integration requirements, architecture, and infrastructure specifications. Leverage Azure APIM and Azure Service Bus.
Coordinate with QA team, fix bugs, and stabilize functionality.
Integrate the solution with DevSecOps, including security controls.
Collaborate with other ITS teams for project deployment from development to production.
Complete documentation of developed modules.
Skills/Experience required:
Over 8 years of application development experience, especially in middle-tier and back-end services, APIs, and application logic.
Strong skills in system development, particularly in .Net and Azure Cloud.
Experience with API Gateways, Message/Event hubs, Azure DevOps, SharePoint Online, and Azure Key Vault.
Knowledge of developing application standards, architecture artifacts, and standardization processes.
Excellent communication, documentation, and facilitation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in providing training and coaching for architecture projects.
Ability to create high-level, information-rich models and extend business architecture.
Exceptional communication skills at all organizational levels, including written, verbal, and visual.
Proven conceptual, analytical, and judgmental skills.
Ability to work independently with clients and management, facilitating stakeholder discussions for clarity and consensus.
