Pricing Manager

Miryco Consultants are working with a leading general insurance firm who are looking to expand their pricing team in Manchester. You will play a key role in shaping the development of the team as it continues to grow, acting as a leader both in terms of setting team culture and driving forward innovative strategies. The Role As an Pricing Manager, you will lead a team of analysts and work closely with senior stakeholders to develop and optimize pricing models that balance profitability, competitiveness, and customer outcomes. You’ll leverage cutting-edge analytics, machine learning techniques, and actuarial methodologies to influence pricing decisions across multiple product lines. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and enhancement of pricing models using statistical and machine learning techniques. Analyse large data sets to derive insights and improve pricing strategies. Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, and data science teams to refine risk assessments. Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to ensure we maintain a competitive edge. Present insights and recommendations to senior management, influencing strategic decisions. Support the continuous improvement of pricing tools, processes, and governance. Mentor and develop a team of pricing analysts. What We’re Looking For Strong experience in insurance pricing, ideally within a general insurance setting. Proficiency in pricing tools and techniques, such as Emblem, Radar, SAS, Python, or R. Knowledge of actuarial methodologies and predictive modeling. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights. Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Leadership experience with a passion for mentoring and developing talent. Salary: Up to £85,000, plus bonus.
