IT Support Engineer (2nd/3rd Line) – Nuclear Site Support Based – Suffolk or Somerset (5 days a week on site) Rate - £(Apply online only)/day inside IR35 Length – 6 months with possible extension to 12 months Must be eligible for SC clearance Key Responsibilities: Ensure a Safe Working Environment: Maintain strict adherence to site safety protocols and regulatory compliance while operating within the Nuclear Site IT Services Support function. Operational Support for Station Activities: Provide technical support for station-critical events, including outage preparation and execution, ensuring minimal disruption and rapid issue resolution. IT Incident Resolution and Service Delivery: Address and resolve local IT issues effectively, delivering a broad range of IT services in line with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs). This includes troubleshooting software, hardware, and networking problems. Asset and Configuration Management: Enforce asset management procedures related to desktop hardware and infrastructure. Maintain accurate records in accordance with the companies ITIL-aligned processes. Required Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, and Active Directory. Experience with hardware rollouts, desktop/laptop imaging, and network infrastructure upgrades. Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices for service management. Capable of delivering 2nd/3rd line support in high-security, highly regulated environments. Competent in networking, including basic switching, routing, and diagnostics. Additional Notes: The role requires a proactive, safety-conscious individual comfortable working on-site at a nuclear facility. Must be capable of working independently, and external vendors, and ensuring IT support aligns with critical operational timelines
