Application Support Analyst

Investment Bank - Application Support Analyst - Global Equity Technology A global investment bank is looking for an experienced Application Support Analyst to join its Global Equities Technology group. This role supports a complex front-to-back trading platform critical to multiple business functions including Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to work across the full trade lifecycle in a global organisation. Responsibilities: Provide hands-on support for enterprise-scale trading applications, ensuring maximum system availability. Manage incidents and issues raised by Front Office, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams. Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. Enhance operational efficiency through automation and proactive monitoring. Maintain effective communication with stakeholders during incidents and platform upgrades. Participate in IT governance, platform de-risking, and process improvement initiatives. Monitor infrastructure performance and proactively identify areas for optimisation. Key Skills & Experience: Essential: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Proven experience supporting large-scale, global trading platforms. Solid scripting or programming skills (e.g. Python, Perl, Bash, VBScript). Strong understanding of Linux environments and SQL/database concepts. Ability to work under pressure and manage incidents independently. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience). Desirable: Experience with trading platforms such as Sophis, Murex, or Calypso. Familiarity with enterprise messaging systems (Solace, Tibco EMS, MQ). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation tools. Experience in a 24/7 global support environment.
