Infrastructure Engineer

Role: Infrastructure Engineer Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 Location: Manchester, Hybrid Would you like to pursue a career in Platform Engineering working within a close-knit team where you can make a real impact in managing and scaling the cloud platform? The experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer who joins the team responsible for managing infrastructure components, including VMware, Hyper-V, and physical servers, while optimising and supporting the M365 Stack. Key Responsibilities:- Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure solutions to meet evolving business needs. Manage and optimise VMware and Hyper-V environments, ensuring performance, reliability, and availability. Oversee physical server infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and regular maintenance. Administer and support the Microsoft 365 (M365) environment, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and related services. Identify, analyse, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues and proactively prevent potential disruptions. Desired Experience:- Previous experience working in a similar role; Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, Cloud Engineer, 3rd Line Support. Any experience delivering project work will be advantageous. Good communicator and happy to work in a close-knit team in a hybrid working environment based local to Manchester. Had experience in training junior engineers. Solid understanding of network protocols, virtualisation technologies, and security best practices within a cloud environment. .
