Job Title: Senior Data Engineer Location: Mississauga – Hybrid – 3 days/week Term: Fulltime/permanent Job Description The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Qualifications: 6-10 years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role Extensive experience system analysis and in programming of software applications Experience in managing and implementing successful projects Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one area of Applications Development Ability to adjust priorities quickly as circumstances dictate Demonstrated leadership and project management skills Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication This job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Required skills: A minimum of 6 years application development experience Experience leading a technical team – including hiring, performance management, talent development Solid understanding of application infrastructures, including hardware, storage, network, databases, disaster recovery procedures. Working knowledge Unix including shell scripting (preferably RedHat Linux) Experience with the following technologies: Talend, IBM Datastage Cloud Pak AWS Cloud Solutions: Glue, S3, KMS, IAM, Lambda, Amazon SQS Programming and Scripting: Python, UNIX/Linux Shell scripting RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle DB, PostgreSQL XML/XSD/XSLT and JSON Modern Source Control, Build and CI/CD Solutions ( Bitbucket, GitHub, Team City, Artifactory, Sonarqube, Ansible, Client Project Enterprise - Tekton/Harness ) Experience using JIRA and ServiceNow SaaS Logical thinking, Strong analytical and problem solving skills; innovative and solutions oriented Effective time management skills in order to manage multiple priorities with flexibility on time zones and timelines Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proven experience building scalable, mission critical systems Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
