Senior Software Engineer (React/Python/Django) | Hybrid in Orlando, FL | Contract/W2 Only! *There are no Corp-to-Corp options or Visa Sponsorship available for this position* Optomi, in partnership with a market leader in the entertainment industry, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a hybrid position out of their office in Orlando, FL. This candidate will be an integral member of the DDSI engineering team, helping to design, build, and ship a new web-based analytic platform. This platform supports strategic internal decision-making across the enterprise. Experience of the right candidate: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, MIS or a related field, or equivalent work experience. 5 years of professional software development experience. 3 years of experience with Python. 3 years of front-end development experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Strong experience with Django or similar Python web frameworks. Strong experience with React or equivalent modern JavaScript libraries. Full-stack development experience (60/40 front-end or back-end emphasis is acceptable). Experience building data-intensive applications with technologies like PostgreSQL and Snowflake. Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a technical field or equivalent. Expertise in AWS architecture and cloud-native development. Experience with Next.js and GitLab CI/CD. Experience working in a decision science or analytics-heavy environment. UI/UX design leadership experience. Advanced front-end and back-end performance optimization skills. Experience developing user scenarios, business requirements, and technical specifications. Experience selecting and implementing team tools and libraries. Responsibilities of the right candidate: Design, build, and deploy new features for a high-impact software platform used across multiple business units. Lead and mentor junior application engineers. Collaborate with product managers to understand requirements and develop project timelines. Partner with data scientists to visualize complex model outputs in user-friendly formats. Work with data engineers to ensure scalable and efficient data pipelines. Collaborate with DevOps on application infrastructure, security, and CI/CD. Propose and design intuitive user experiences with mockups and wireframes. Champion software development best practices across DDSI and broader tech teams.
