Job Purpose Responsible for deploying IBM Power i hardware, operating systems and applications across CSI’s Power i client base. Ensuring that CSI continue to provide excellence in Power i systems support and management to our clients. Collaboration with members of the PMO team is vital to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget and of the highest quality. Key Accountabilities Configuration of IBM Power I system hardware and operating systems. Configuring, verifying and restoring client full system onto IBM Power I systems, according to clients’ requirements. Strict adherence to Build team Lego Bricks / Configuration Document process. Working closely with PMO team members to deliver tasks as per project plans. Providing support to Presales team members to work on sales opportunities. Ensuring that customers incident (where appropriate), change and requests tickets are managed in a professional and consistent manner. Ensuring first rate customer service and promoting Service Excellence; Working closely with Power i Team members to ensure smooth acceptance into service handover; Ensuring CSI processes are being followed; Ensure that change documentation is completed professionally and in a timely fashion; Represent changes at the CAB; Ensure technical documentation is kept up to date. Skills and Experience: Required - IBM i OS, BRMS, Work Management, Performance Management Previous experience in a senior technical role primarily focussed on Power i Previous experience in a service provider or managed services environment Demonstrable high level technical capability on Power i. Demonstrable experience of working in a complex enterprise-level Power i environment Preferred – SQL, CL, iDR, SSL, Key Management, Power VM and IBM Storage, Halcyon Highly Advantageous – Mimix Certification Skill in solving technically challenging problems involving Power i based application and hardware issues. Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail, must be able to write clear and understandable procedures. Person Specification: Promote and live the CSI values; Think Client, Deliver Exceptionally and Excel Together Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Professional appearance, well-mannered and a constructive attitude in all work-related matters Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise work to maintain required productivity levels Willingness to research and self-study to keep skills relevant Self-motivated, flexible in approach, enthusiastic team player Strong rapport and relationship building skills with internal/external customers Strong sense of responsibility and accountability, results driven Methodical in approach with sound analytical and problem-solving skills, and keen attention to detail Enjoys a challenge
