Land Referencer | Birmingham (Hybrid) | Permanent | £30,000 Per Annum Peaple Talent have partnered with a market-leading client in Birmingham who are looking to recruit a Land Referencer. This is an opportunity to join a market-leading infrastructure team and contribute to some of the most significant infrastructure projects in the UK. You’ll be part of a growing land referencing team with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services. Our client defines leadership as the ability to respond positively to challenges while creating an environment where every voice is valued. Key Responsibilities: Capture and digitise geographic features from CAD drawings and paper plans into ArcGIS. Participate in meetings with clients and key stakeholders to support project progress. Conduct desktop research and direct outreach to identify and reference affected parties. Communicate with members of the public in a clear, respectful, and empathetic manner. Manage, collect, interpret, and analyse land-related data to support project needs. Carry out site visits to post statutory notices and engage with affected individuals. Ensure ArcGIS mapping layers are accurately verified and kept up to date. Prepare precise and legally compliant documents, including order plans, books of reference, notices and schedules. Key Experience Required: Hold a degree (or equivalent qualification), ideally a bachelor’s or master’s in Geography, Planning, or a related field. Possess a valid UK driving licence and be open to travelling to both urban and rural sites as part of land referencing duties. Have hands-on experience producing key legal documents such as books of reference, order plans, notices, and schedules. Confident in using GIS software, preferably ArcGIS, for collecting, analysing, and working with land ownership data across different formats. Familiarity with projects involving compulsory purchase is highly desirable, for example, those under the Transport and Works Act, Compulsory Purchase Act, or Planning Act.
