Job details

A Defect Analyst's primary responsibility is to ensure the quality of software by identifying, documenting, and resolving defects. They work closely with developers, testers, and other stakeholders to improve software quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities: Defect Identification and Documentation: Thoroughly identify, document, and track defects in software applications. Test Case Development and Execution: Develop, execute, and maintain test cases to ensure comprehensive testing coverage. Defect Analysis and Prioritization: Analyze defect severity, impact, and recurrence to determine prioritization and strategies. Communication and Collaboration: Effectively communicating the information to developers and other stakeholders. Regression Testing: Conduct regression testing to ensure that defect fixes do not introduce new issues. Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. Qualifications and Experience: Analytical and Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve defects. Technical Aptitude: Good understanding of software development principles and testing methodologies. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders. Organizational Skills: Ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively. Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to identify subtle defects. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with developers and other team members. Process Skills: Preparation of Test Plan and the test strategy Driving quality at the product or organizational level
