Your primary focus will be to design, build, validate, and ship high-quality product features with a keen sense of urgency, efficiency, and ownership. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, data scientists, and peer engineering teams, to define project requirements and execution plans. Though this position is remote, the resource must work EST hours. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using Ruby on Rails. - Assist in maintaining and updating existing codebases, identifying and fixing bugs, and optimizing application performance. - Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other team members to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic. - Use version control systems, such as Git, to manage and track changes to codebase collaboratively. - Write and execute unit tests to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability. - Document code and solutions, create and maintain technical documentation, and contribute to knowledge-sharing within the team. - Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings. - Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in Ruby on Rails development and web technologies. Minimum Qualifications: - Recent degree in a technology discipline such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. - 5 years of experience with Ruby on Rails – a must (there will be coding challenges during the interview process). - Knowledge or experience with React and TypeScript – very nice to have. - Excited by constantly learning new technologies & skillsets. - Thrive in a collaborative team environment. - Ownership over systems that you work on – being proactive and self-sufficient is what you should love to do! Be part of a forward-thinking organization where your ideas and initiatives can drive positive change on a broader scale.
