Software Engineer Skills/Exposure: C++, Visual Studio, Linux, Basic Network Protocols, Git, Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) Office Location: Twickenham - They'll want to see you once or twice a month in the office. Could be more flexible with this. Salary: £70,000 to £86,000 I’m working with an established company in their sector as they look to add a further Software Engineer to their team. Not only do they have a significant market share, but they lead in standards, practices, and innovation that shape their niche. The team builds high-performance software used in complex, distributed environments. It’s a technical role with a strong engineering culture. You will play a key role in developing new products, with a focus on C++ development. This is a hands-on position where you will be involved throughout the full software development life cycle, from concept and design to development, debugging, and testing. What you’ll need? C/C++ experience in production systems. Server Development experience Visual Studio Networking / Protocol exposure Linux Git / Atlassian Exposure to another language: Python, C#, Java, JavaScript, Perl, PHP, Rust or Go would be beneficial. What can you expect? Writing and maintaining modern C++ code Working on multi-threaded systems and performance-critical code. Contributing to software architecture and design discussions. Writing tests and reviewing code as part of a well-structured dev process.
