Lead Software Engineer

Tech Lead – Internal Tools & Automation Location: Onsite in Livermore, CA About the Role Ronbow is a fast-growing cabinetry company reinventing how the $300B home renovation market works. We're looking for a hands-on Lead Software Engineer to own and modernize the backbone systems that power our business — from ERP integrations to production workflows. This is not a DevOps or IT support role — it's a builder role. You’ll lead the technical development of our internal tools, connect fragmented systems, and partner with production, sales, and operations to create scalable software that drives real outcomes in the physical world. What You’ll Own Architect, build, and refactor ERP-related tools and backend services Streamline internal workflows for order management, production, and delivery Connect and extend systems like Odoo via API integration and custom modules Build simple front-end dashboards (React or similar) for internal users Collaborate with production, sales, and operations to identify automation opportunities Mentor junior developers (in-house or offshore) and lead small projects What We Work With Python, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript SQL, GCP, basic data pipeline work ERP systems: Odoo (current), NetSuite (potential), custom connectors React (or any modern JS framework) Git, Jira, Notion, Google Workspace Physical systems integration (factory floor, barcode, etc.) What You’ll Get End-to-end ownership : define, build, and ship what matters Direct impact : your work will touch orders, revenue, and real-world execution Zero bureaucracy : no layers, no legacy politics — just code outcome Collaborative exec team : your input shapes product and operational strategy A front-row seat to what it means to build the “Tesla of cabinetry” What We’re Looking For 2 years of full-stack or backend software development experience Strong fundamentals in data modeling, API design, and business systems logic Experience with ERP platforms (Odoo, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) Comfortable leading technical projects independently Builder mindset: you simplify, automate, and iterate — not just maintain Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus (some teammates speak Chinese) Bonus If You Have Prior experience working with manufacturing, supply chain, or factory systems Built custom workflow tools or internal applications Familiarity with barcode/label printing, warehouse logic, etc. Startup experience or small-team autonomy
