Business Analyst – Front Office Technology London Contract £650-£850 inside IR35 *Front Office Investment Banking/ Investment Management background is essential* We’re working with a major financial player looking for a Business Analyst to support their front office technology team. This is a critical front-office role, working closely with quant researchers and fund managers to triage production issues, manage technology enhancements, and ensure the seamless operation of their quant research platforms. Key Responsibilities: Production Issue Triage: Act as the first line of support for production issues, assessing severity, impact, and priority to minimise disruption to the quant research process. Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with quants and business users, challenging assumptions and understanding the business impact of technical issues. Requirements Gathering: Capture clear, actionable business requirements for new features and system enhancements, ensuring alignment with broader research goals. Cross-Team Collaboration: Bridge the gap between quant teams, developers, and infrastructure, ensuring smooth project delivery and effective issue resolution. Data Analysis and Troubleshooting: Use data tools (e.g., SQL, Python) to validate issues and ensure data quality where appropriate. Testing and Documentation: Support UAT and system testing, including writing test cases, managing defect logs, and ensuring quality standards are met. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the support process, reduce downtime, and streamline quant workflows. What We’re Looking For: Around 5 years of experience and upwards in a front office technology-focused Business Analyst role. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to assess production issues quickly. Experience working closely with both technical and non-technical teams. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge stakeholders and translate business needs into technical requirements. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery. Working knowledge of SQL, Python, or data analysis tools (helpful but not essential).
