Senior Project Manager; Software, IT & Information Systems Location: Southampton (Hybrid – monthly office attendance) Salary: £55,000 – £57,000 generous benefits Contract: Full Time, PAYE, Fixed Term (18 months) A leading public sector organisation in Southampton is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver a variety of strategic IT and software development projects. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across technology functions including IT infrastructure, software delivery, and digital services. As part of a high-performing IT Portfolio team, you’ll be responsible for managing complex projects from initiation through to successful delivery. Projects range from technical upgrades and integrations to wider organisational change initiatives affecting a diverse user base. We're looking for someone with a strong background in project delivery across IT or digital environments—someone who can engage with stakeholders across multiple departments, manage risk, and drive change with confidence. About You: A proven track record of delivering complex, end-to-end projects. Experience working with a software / apps development team Experience working with complex systems, software, data and integration. Knowledge of Agile software development process Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills. The ability to thrive in a structured project management environment (Agile, PRINCE2 or similar). Experience with customer-facing systems is highly beneficial. Why apply?
