What You’ll Do As a Staff Engineer , you'll play a key role in designing and evolving the backbone of our platform. This is not a maintenance gig — it’s a high-impact, architecture-focused role where your decisions will shape the future of our systems and influence how businesses across the UK interact with their energy supply. Your day-to-day will include: Architecting and building reliable, scalable systems to support our software and marketplace platform. Driving pragmatic improvements in a brownfield codebase. Collaborating with a cross-functional team to align technical direction with business outcomes. Mentoring teammates and helping raise the engineering bar. What We’re Looking For Deep expertise across the stack , especially in JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL databases, and AWS infrastructure. Strong architectural instincts – you’ve designed and delivered robust, scalable systems before. Hands-on refactoring experience – you're comfortable navigating legacy systems and improving them iteratively. Team-first mindset – you’re humble, collaborative, and put outcomes above ego.
