TapHere is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Financial Systems Analyst IV to join our team in Charleston, SC supporting Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC-A).

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Examine past and current budgets and research economic and financial developments that affect the organizations spending.
  2. Develop guidelines and policies governing the formulation and maintenance of budgets.
  3. May conduct training sessions for company or Government agency personnel regarding new budget procedures.
  4. Coordinate financial activities across various stakeholders.
  5. Manage finances across multiple funding types.
  6. Track budgets, costs, and variances.
  7. Produce executive summaries.
  8. Conduct financial reporting and analyses on financial issues and customer requirements.
  9. Develop and propose courses of actions (COAs) and recommendations for financial issues.
  10. Provide interpretation and application of financial management principles; and apply financial management processes, techniques, policies, regulations and organizational strategic goals.

Experience Required:

  1. Ten (10) years of experience providing financial management support to a program/project and/or corporate operations department.
  2. Notable experience providing advice and technical assistance in the preparation of annual budgets; measuring organizational performance; assessing the effects of various programs and policies on the budget.
  3. Experience examining budget estimates or proposals for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with established procedures, regulations, and organizational objectives.
  4. Experience may include employing cost-benefit analysis to review financial requests, assess program tradeoffs, and explore alternative funding methods.
  5. Proficient in research methods, statistical analysis, and the use of financial/analytical software (spreadsheets); experience related to working as part of a team in the delivery of product or service; ideally have experience working with the Defense Working Capital Fund business model and with Service Centers.
  6. Notable experience supervising and/or mentoring of lesser experienced personnel.
  7. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.

Masters degree in a business-related field
