Databricks Advisory Lead – Consulting Services Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Databricks Advisory Lead to join our consulting practice. In this role, you will act as a strategic advisor to clients, leading the design and delivery of advanced data solutions leveraging the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. You will partner with business and technical stakeholders to modernize data ecosystems, enabling data-driven transformation at scale. Key Responsibilities: Client Advisory & Strategy: Serve as the primary Databricks expert in client engagements, advising on architecture, best practices, and use cases. Lead discovery sessions to assess data maturity and define tailored data modernisation strategies. Translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures and roadmaps using Databricks and cloud technologies. Solution Leadership: Design and oversee implementation of data platforms and AI/ML solutions on Databricks. Drive end-to-end project delivery in collaboration with cross-functional teams (data engineering, cloud, analytics). Ensure solution quality, performance, and governance through robust architecture design and code reviews. Team & Thought Leadership: Guide and mentor consultants and engineers on Databricks capabilities and delivery excellence. Contribute to the development of reusable assets, frameworks, and accelerators within the Databricks practice. Represent the firm in industry events, webinars, and client-facing workshops. Required Qualifications: 8 years of experience in data and analytics roles, with 3 years leading Databricks-based solutions. Proven experience in a consulting environment delivering large-scale data platform projects. Hands-on expertise in Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, Unity Catalog, and DBSQL. Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Excellent communication skills and ability to engage both technical and business stakeholders. Experience leading project teams and managing client relationships. Preferred Qualifications: Databricks certifications (e.g., Data Engineer Associate/Professional, Solution Architect). Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks. Experience with CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, ARM, etc.).
