Founding Full Stack Engineer Salary: Up to £100k/year Location: Hybrid – 3 days/week in Central London (Waterloo) Help build the foundational product of a fast-moving startup transforming healthcare operations! Your Role: We’re hiring a Founding Full Stack Engineer to join an early-stage team at the intersection of healthcare, fintech, and AI. Working closely with the CTO, you’ll help shape the architecture, tech stack, and culture from the ground up. This is a hands-on role where you’ll ship meaningful features fast and influence everything from engineering practices to product direction. What You’ll Be Doing: Building core features and infrastructure, prioritising performance, reliability, and security Contributing across the full stack from API design and backend architecture to polished UIs Working with Product and Ops teams to translate real-world problems into software Owning debugging and optimisation in production environments Establishing technical foundations and best practices for future hires to build on (And if you don’t tick every box – that’s okay. We’d still love to hear from you.) The Stack: Their ideal tech stack includes: React , Next.js , Java , Kotlin , PostgreSQL , and AWS But they’re also open to engineers with strong experience in other modern stacks, including Python , Django , or Flask - as long as you're adaptable and comfortable working across systems. What They’re Looking For: Experience working in an early-stage or fast-growing product team Proficiency in modern frontend and backend technologies Strong experience with SQL , particularly PostgreSQL Production-level problem solving, with an eye on speed and scalability High ownership mindset and comfort making technical decisions in ambiguous situations How You Work: Clear, proactive communicator who works well across disciplines Comfortable working with urgency, but without cutting corners Prioritises high-impact work and thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Learns quickly, iterates fast, and values feedback and collaboration Bonus Points: Experience with payments, embedded fintech, or conversational interfaces Exposure to LLMs, agentic AI, or intelligent automation Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and dev workflow best practices in small teams Why This Role?
