Role: Engineering Manager Duration: Up until December 31st 2025 Rate: £400 per day Inside IR35 Location: Knutsford, 2 days on site per week Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing development team in Knutsford. As an Engineering Manager, your focus is not just on delivery, but also on people. You’ll champion agile practices, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and drive both team productivity and individual growth. Key Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers. Own the delivery of technical products and projects, ensuring quality and timely execution. Create and maintain project plans for large-scale epics. Run and continuously improve agile processes and ceremonies. Provide technical coaching and architecture guidance. Conduct regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and career development. Engage in hands-on practices such as code reviews, bug fixing, and quality assurance. Collaborate across departments and manage multiple stakeholder relationships. Drive innovation and implement process improvements. Actively contribute to the team culture and overall technical direction. Tech & Tools You'll Work With: Languages & Frameworks: Strong background in Java, microservices, and APIs. Methodologies: Agile, Scrum. Tools: Jira, Confluence. DevOps: CI/CD pipelines and tooling experience expected.
