Role Description We’re looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer to join our team in the London Area, United Kingdom. This is a full-time, hybrid role with flexibility to work remotely part of the week. You’ll take the lead in front-end initiatives, work closely with UI/UX designers and back-end engineers, and help shape how users interact with our web platforms built around AI and energy innovation. If you’re an experienced developer with a strong foundation in Next.js and modern web technologies—and you’re excited about building great UI/UX experiences in the climate and AI space—we’d love to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-quality front-end components using Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Build clean, scalable, and responsive interfaces based on design mock-ups and user needs. Work closely with designers and back-end engineers to deliver seamless, performant applications. Lead front-end architecture and technical decision-making. Manage and improve front-end deployment processes, including integration with CI/CD pipelines. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and foster engineering best practices. Stay current with front-end trends, frameworks, and performance tools. Qualifications 4 years of professional front-end development experience. Advanced proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern front-end tooling. Hands-on experience with server-side rendering (SSR) and static site generation (SSG) in Next.js. Deep understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and performance optimization. Experience deploying front-end apps and working within CI/CD environments. Proficient in Git and working with RESTful APIs. Strong analytical thinking and a problem-solving mindset. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Bonus Points For: Exposure to AI tools or the energy/built environment tech space. Contributions to open-source projects or developer communities.
