Senior Python Developer // Derby (onsite) // £60,000 - £80,000 This is a senior backend role for someone who wants to own technical direction on high-impact software that supports the UK’s transition to low-carbon energy. You’ll be leading technical delivery across Python APIs and services used in real-world energy infrastructure; think power grid management, nuclear, and sustainability-focused tech. This isn’t a theory-heavy R&D role. It’s about secure, scalable, performant backend engineering that enables data to move reliably through critical systems. You’ll help shape the architecture, mentor junior devs, and influence DevOps practices across a growing team.
