Job description: The JD Edwards (JDE) Functional Consultant will be responsible for delivering high-quality functional solutions within the JD Edwards EnterpriseOne environment. This role requires deep expertise in Sales & Distribution modules, strong analytical capabilities, and extensive hands-on implementation experience. The consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support and enhance business processes while contributing to organisational growth and transformation initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities Serve as the functional liaison for JD Edwards (JDE) initiatives, directly interacting with business users, customer stakeholders, and cross-functional leadership to understand requirements, clarify design needs, and drive solution alignment. Lead end-to-end functional analysis and solution design for complex, cross-functional JDE projects in an integrated, multi-application environment, ensuring real-time collaboration with customer teams. Conduct workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and design walkthroughs with customer process owners to validate and refine business processes. Prepare and present functional design specifications and solution proposals in design forums, obtaining sign offs and ensuring solutions meet business, compliance, and operational needs. Provide hands-on consultancy and advisory support to customers on best practices, process optimisation, and solution alternatives within the JDE Sales & Distribution domain. Coordinate with offshore teams, ensuring accurate knowledge transfer, governance, and seamless execution across the global delivery model. Support UAT cycles directly with customer business teams, validating solutions, resolving defects, and ensuring readiness for go-live. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to organisational capability development through process enhancements and knowledge sharing. Technical Skills Required 8 years of proven experience of JD Edwards implementation and support experience, with at least 5 years leading customer-facing implementation cycles. Hands-on experience with JD Edwards Enterprise One 9.0, 9.1, and 9.2. Expertise in Sales & Distribution modules with proven experience as a subject matter expert (SME) in multi-site global implementations. Knowledge of Transportation Module is a strong plus. Demonstrated ability to lead on-site requirement workshops, document AS-IS/TO-BE processes, and map business requirements to JDE applications. Skilled in writing detailed functional specifications, including customisations, integrations with third-party systems, and report development. Experience utilising JDE Orchestration for process automation. Industry experience in Sales & Distribution, with exposure to Global Delivery Models (OnshoreOffshoreNearshore). Excellent customer engagement, communication, and negotiation skills to manage complex functional and business discussions. Strong motivation to upskill and integrate Microsoft technologies such as Power Apps, Power Automate, and architectural components to enhance customer solutions. Experience in the Art industry is a plus. Strong problem-solving capability and ability to work seamlessly in collaborative, cross-functional teams.
