ETL DEVELOPER

ETL DEVELOPER Zurich Capability Center is currently looking for an ETL Developer. ETL Developer This position will be part of an Enterprise Data Management Team responsible for leveraging data assets throughout the organization and facilitating the development and implementation of the desired end-state data environment. The team also aims to improve decision-making capabilities by providing high-quality, transparent data within the data warehouse and associated data marts. The Data Engineer will have experience working with large data sets, designing, developing, and debugging Informatica processes that populate Data warehouses on (MPP) platforms. Knowledge of Big Data technologies and tools is essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. The role involves participating in core teams to identify and validate data scenarios within the enterprise. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to develop actionable plans, recognize opportunities, and report on progress. Technical documentation and team coordination skills are required. Client Internally Focused: The core deliverables involve providing services to internal clients, such as line managers or employees, and may include sharing subject matter expertise and supporting team efforts. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics/Statistics with 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering OR Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice with an Associate Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics/Statistics and 6+ years of experience At least 5 years of experience in Enterprise Data Management Experience with ETL Architecture, Design, and End-to-End Development Experience in scripting languages Experience with data transformation and aggregation tools Experience in data analysis, interrogation, or profiling Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Informatica PowerCenter Experience processing large datasets on MPP platforms Strong SQL and stored procedures skills Experience with scripting languages such as Shell and Perl Experience with replication tools like Attunity Exposure to job scheduling tools like AutoSys Experience with DevOps Strong communication skills Ability to work independently and in teams Insurance industry experience Who we are At Zurich, we offer a challenging and inspiring environment where you can make a difference.
